COMMERCIAL VEHICLE MAINTENANCE - TOP END MOTORS
- I am writing to advise that TOP END MOTORS has been providing a valuable service
to RAAF Darwin MEOMS for over twenty two years. Atha Ikonomouhas been extremely
supportive of the maintenance requirements and activities performed by RAAF Darwin.
- The Department of Defence has been under going change in relation to commercial
vehicle maintenance. A contract was awarded to DASFLEET to manage the commercial
vehicle fleet for Defence vehicles.
- RAAF Darwin MEOMS previously managed the commercial fleet and used TOP END
MOTORS extensively, and are extremely happy with the service provided. This change in
policy effects TOP END MOTORS, due to the fact that individual sections are now
responsible to arrange the maintenance of their vehicles through DASFLEET authorised
repair agencies. TOP END MOTORS is a DASFLEET authorised repair agent.
- The individual sections are still coming to terms with these changes, and when
organised, will be liaising with authorised repair agents for maintenance. With the previous
levels of service provided, and TOP END MOTORS good reputation, there should be no
problem with maintaining the previous relationship.

I have known and had business dealing with
Top End Motors since December 1994. During this time I
have been able to call upon Top End Motors when urgent
repairs had to be carried out
on AirForce equipment. Nothing has been too much trouble
with picking up equipment and or vehicles after hours
weekend or public holidays.
The quality of rectification work has
always been of the highest standard with the
repairs having to be carried out only once. At all time
the section that controlled dealing
with rectification work always spoke of the highest
quality service delivered by
Top End Motors.
Mechanical Equipment and Operational
Maintenance Section has dealt with Top End Motors for the
